State Requirements

Pre-License Requirements

Anyone wishing to secure a license in the State of Washington, either as a Life and Disability insurance producer or as a Property and Casualty insurance producer, must complete 40 hours of pre-license education. This instruction includes a 4-hour course focusing on State Rules and Regulations.

Candidates will not be allowed to take the state exams without first providing proof that required pre-licensing education requirements have been met. Candidates will be required to present a Certificate of Completion at the test site and will also be required to present two pieces of signature identification (one of which must include a photo) and an exam registration confirmation number. Exam fees may be prepaid by credit card or paid on site with a cashier's check, money order, or company check.

Waivers for the pre-license education requirements are issued only to candidates who hold a valid license in another state and who have been licensed continuously for a minimum of two years, including the 90-day period immediately preceding the application for a waiver.

A fingerprint card also is required by the State of Washington before an agent is licensed. We offer on-site fingerprinting service.

We are an approved license examination provider offering classes that meet all State of Washington pre-license insurance education requirements.
